Angela and Gaurav’s Wedding

This is a wedding I have been hanging out for ever since I first met Angela and Gaurav during their engagement shoot.  To recap these lovely guys had two wedding, the first one in Rockhampton, followed a few days later by a 3 day Hindi wedding in India.  Gaurav has promised to send some photos of their Indian wedding, it should be so cool.

Wedding Details:

Celebrant: Lindsay Howie
Makeup Provider: Christine’s beauty
Flowers: Tall Pines Florist
Wedding Dress provided by: Bridal Reflections
Wedding Location: St Paul’s Cathedral
Reception: Travelodge Hotel
Transport Provider: City Limousines CQ

Here are the all important wedding details

Gaurav got ready at their house in the best suburb in Rocky – Wandal, while Angela got ready at the Travelodge Hotel

The wedding was at the very beautiful St Paul’s Cathedral.

The ceremony mixed both traditional Christian and Hindi customs, and was one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies I have attended.

After the wedding, we ducked back into the cathedral for some photos with that lovely soft cathedral light.

Then explored the grounds around St Paul’s Cathedral.

We then onto the old Trustee Chambers building on Quay Street, where the lovely owners let us photograph inside.

This is my favourite of the day, really showed the obvious love between Angela and Gaurav.

After the Trustee Chambers we had a quick trip up to Mount Archer to catch the sunset.

At the reception, Gaurav and his brother showed some of their very cool Bollywood dance moves.  Gaurav’s brother Ajay is attempting to break into the Australian Bollywood industry, he is pretty good.

Gaurav did exceptionally well for the garter toss, only moments before the bridesmaids had to teach him this strange western custom.

Thanks guys for letting me photograph your lovely wedding, I especially loved the ceremony, and can’t wait to see some of your Indian wedding photos. All the best Geoff
