Wedding Hugs

On the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Jenny and Terry’s wedding at The Capricorn Caves. Here is a sneak peak of some photos taken within the Cave just after the ceremony.

My local fellow wedding photographers often criticize me about the number of photos I take during a wedding (in the many thousands), and one thing that I do take many many photos of is the wedding hugs, which is one of my favourite subjects. The only way you capture the beauty and spontaneity of the wedding hug is too shoot and shoot and shoot – and hope you capture that special moment.

I just love capturing wedding hugs, the look of joy in a wedding hug I think makes everybody feel good.  Jenny was also an excellent hugger.

First you have the excitement of just getting married, then comes the first approaching hug with the bridesmaids.

There is the one armed hug

The two armed hugs

The big squeeze your breath out hug.

The group hug

And even the hug release is beautiful too.

Next week I will post some more photos of this wedding – and I promise not to include any more hug shots (well maybe one).
